The Chemex Kit

An iconic brewer with a timeless design invented in 1941, the Chemex is easy to use and easy on the eyes. The Chemex is housed in the MOMA permanent design collection —it also lives on most of our kitchen counters. It brews a clean cup and maintains body and balanced floral notes.

Chemex brews tend to taste different than other drip preparations because the filtered paper strains more of the cafestrol- the bitter coffee oils- from the final cup. Presence or absence of cafestrol is a deeply personal preference; the Chemex brewer will produce the least cafestrol residue of any brew method.
